Bikiron Academy
“Bikiron Academy is an online school for students across Bangladesh. We run live and recorded courses for Classes 6 to 12, university and medical admission preparation, IELTS, and job-ready professional skills. Every course is taught by a postgraduate instructor with real classroom experience, every chapter closes with a graded assessment, and every question posted in a course is answered in writing by the teacher who taught the lesson. Classes work on mobile data, recordings stay available for a full year, and the fees are about a third of what a Dhaka coaching centre charges.”

Who we are
Bikiron Academy opened in 2024 in a single rented room in Dhanmondi, with seven students and a borrowed projector. The idea was simple and slightly stubborn: a student in Kurigram or Bandarban should be able to sit in the same class as a student in Dhanmondi, taught by the same teacher, on the same day. Two years on, students from 58 of the country's 64 districts study with us — most of them on a mobile phone, and many of them the first person in their family to take an online course.
Why our classes are different
We do not treat finishing the syllabus as success. Every chapter closes with a short assessment, every written script is marked by the teacher who taught that chapter rather than an assistant, and any topic a student gets wrong comes back as a separate revision class. A chapter is not finished until the student can actually do it. That is slower than racing to the end of the book, and it is the reason our board results keep improving year on year.
Our teachers
Every teacher at Bikiron holds a postgraduate degree from Dhaka University, BUET, Rajshahi University or an institution of the same standing, and every one of them spent at least five years in a real classroom before ever facing a camera. We do not hire presenters. The person explaining a topic on video is someone who has watched hundreds of students get that same topic wrong, and knows exactly where the confusion starts.
Why the fees are low
We have no branch buildings, no billboard campaigns and no agents taking a commission in the middle. Almost everything a student pays goes to two things: the teacher's honorarium and the cost of producing the material. That is the entire reason we can charge roughly a third of what a Dhaka coaching centre charges for the same subject, the same contact hours and better recordings.
Where we are going
By 2030 we want at least one student from every upazila in Bangladesh to have reached a university seat through Bikiron. That number — 495 — is written on the wall of our office, and it is the only target we measure ourselves against. Quality teaching is not the property of four or five cities, and we intend to keep proving it one district at a time.
