Science stops being frightening the moment someone explains it in the order it actually makes sense in. That is the entire idea behind this course. We walk through the Class 9-10 general science syllabus from page one, assuming you remember very little and judging you for none of it.

It is free. Not free for a week, not free until an upgrade prompt appears - the whole course, all 48 recorded classes, every practice sheet and every worked solution, costs ৳0 and will keep costing ৳0. Bikiron Academy runs it because a student who understands Class 9 science usually stays in science, and that decision tends to get made at fourteen, on a bad day, right after one confusing chapter.

Since we opened it up, a little over eleven thousand students from Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi and a long list of upazila towns have worked through at least part of it. When we asked, roughly a third said they had already decided they were bad at science before they enrolled. Most of them were simply behind on three chapters.

What you will learn

The course runs in three arcs - chemistry first, then physics, then life science. That order is deliberate: the chemistry vocabulary makes the physics lighter, and both together make the biology far easier to hold onto. Each arc is sixteen classes long and ends with a consolidation week.

• Chemistry: matter and the kinetic theory, atomic structure, the periodic table, bonding, balancing equations, acids and bases

• Physics: motion and graphs, Newton's laws, work and energy, heat, light and lenses, current electricity and magnetism

• Biology: cell structure, mitosis and meiosis, photosynthesis, respiration, digestion, circulation and heredity

• Environment: ecosystems, food chains, and the pollution case studies the SSC paper likes to set in Bangladesh

• Skills: SI units, significant figures, reading a graph, and drawing an examiner-friendly labelled diagram

Nothing here goes beyond the SSC syllabus. Where a topic reappears later in Class 11 - electron configuration is the usual example - we mark it and move on rather than teaching two years early.

How a class actually works

Every chapter follows the same four steps. The repetition is on purpose: after two chapters you stop wondering what comes next and simply get on with the work.

1. A ten-minute idea video that answers one question - why does this chapter exist at all?

2. The main class, 25 to 40 minutes, taught on a digital board with the NCTB page numbers on screen.

3. A practice sheet of 12 to 20 questions, mixing MCQ, short answer and one creative question in board format.

4. A solution video where the teacher writes out the full answer, including the marks each line would earn.

There is no fixed timetable and no attendance to lose. Enrol today, start in June, restart in October - the sequence waits for you. Students preparing for a school half-yearly often jump straight to one arc, and that is fine too.

Classes are taught in Bangla with English terms written on the board in both scripts, because the SSC paper will use the English word and your textbook may not have introduced it kindly.

Who this is for

Class 9 students starting the science group and wanting a head start before the school year builds up. Class 10 students who have realised in October that three chapters never quite landed. Class 8 students who are curious and a year early - you are welcome, and the pace will suit you.

It also works for parents and older siblings who want to help with homework and have not opened a science book since their own SSC. Several thousand of our viewers are exactly that, and the practice sheets are written so you can check an answer without needing the teacher.

Practice, tests and progress

Each arc ends with a 40-question chapter test, auto-marked, with an explanation attached to every option - including the wrong ones, which is where most of the learning happens. There are three of these, plus one 100-mark full model paper written to the SSC pattern with the same time limit.

Your progress bar tracks which classes you have finished and which practice sheets you have submitted. Nobody is ranked publicly on this course. We report your score against your own last attempt and nothing else, which for a beginner course is the only comparison worth making.

Getting unstuck

Every class has a question thread underneath it. Ask anything, including the question you think is too basic - especially that one. Our teaching assistants answer within about 24 hours on weekdays, and once a month we record a session working through the ten questions that came up most.

I had given up on physics in Class 9. My marks were 31 out of 100. I watched the motion chapter four times before the graphs made sense and then everything after that was easier. I got 78 in the SSC test exam. The strange part is that nobody had to pay anything for it.
