About the course

Physics is where the engineering seat is won or lost

Every winter a few thousand HSC graduates walk into the BUET, KUET and CUET halls knowing the theory perfectly well, and still leave a third of the physics section untouched. The gap is almost never knowledge. Admission physics asks a two-line question whose answer needs three ideas stitched together inside ninety seconds, and that particular skill is not what college teaching or a guide book trains.

This is a problem-solving batch, not a revision batch. From the first evening you sit in front of a board filled with real questions from fourteen years of BUET, KUET, CUET, RUET, MIST and CKRUET papers, and you learn to strip each one down to the single physical principle it is hiding.

What the drill covers

Close to sixty per cent of session time goes to mechanics, because that is where the hardest questions live and where most candidates bleed marks. The remainder is spread across the areas that appear without fail every year:

  • Constraint relations, pulley-and-wedge systems and accelerating frames

  • Energy versus momentum — deciding in ten seconds which one the problem wants

  • Rotational dynamics, rolling without slipping and toppling conditions

  • Gravitation, orbital energy and satellite problems

  • SHM disguised as a spring, a pendulum, a floating cylinder or an LC circuit

  • Fluid statics and dynamics, viscosity and surface tension numericals

  • Capacitor networks solved by symmetry rather than by brute force

  • Induction: rod-on-rails, rotating loops and mutual inductance

  • Photoelectric effect, Bohr transitions and semiconductor logic questions

Second-paper chapters are not an afterthought. Weeks nine to twelve are entirely electricity, magnetism and modern physics, because those carry a disproportionate share of the quick-scoring questions a trained candidate finishes in under a minute.

How a live session runs

Sessions are two hours and always take the same shape, so no attention is wasted wondering what comes next.

  1. A ten-minute timed opener: five questions, silent, answers submitted on the platform.

  2. A fast look at which wrong option caught the most people, and exactly why it was tempting.

  3. Forty minutes of board work on three or four hard problems, solved from a blank sheet rather than read off a printed solution.

  4. A twenty-minute "you drive" block where students dictate the next step and the instructor only writes.

  5. A closing set of eight problems assigned as homework, due before the next class.

Every session is recorded and posted within three hours, so a missed class or a load-shedding evening does not put you a week behind. Recordings stay open until the last admission test of the season.

Winter Cohort — dates, pace and seats

Batch 01 starts on Saturday, 6 December and runs 48 live sessions across twelve weeks. Classes are four evenings a week — Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 to 9:30 PM Bangladesh time. Seats are capped at 45 so the doubt queue never outruns the session.

This is the compressed cohort, built for students who have finished HSC and are sitting admission tests this season. The pace is deliberately hard: mechanics is done in four weeks, waves and thermodynamics in three, and the last five weeks are electricity, magnetism, modern physics and full mocks. If that sounds too steep, the Spring Cohort covers identical material over eighteen weeks.

Who should join

The right student here has already covered both physics papers and can handle calculus without stopping to think. If you are meeting angular momentum for the first time, this batch will feel like deep water — build the foundation first and take the March cohort instead.

Students from Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and Rajshahi sit in the same room here. Board work, question sets, mock papers and doubt threads all live on the platform, so a candidate in Sylhet gets exactly what a candidate in Farmgate gets.

Practice, mocks and marking

You receive a weekly bank of sixty problems sorted into must-solve, should-solve and only-if-you-have-time tiers. Homework is auto-graded; the ten hardest problems each week are hand-checked for method, because an answer that is right for the wrong reason is a mark you will lose in the real hall.

Six full-length mocks are held on Friday mornings, timed and marked like the BUET paper, negative marking included. Each one returns a per-chapter accuracy breakdown and a speed profile showing where your minutes actually went — usually not where you think they went.

Doubt support

Every student gets a private doubt thread with the instructor. Photograph your attempt, upload it, and a reply lands within twelve hours on weekdays. We answer with a hint first and the full solution second, because nobody ever learned to solve by reading a finished derivation.

I had been doing rotational motion by memorising four separate formulas. Three weeks into the winter batch it finally landed that all four were the same equation wearing different clothes. My CUET physics score went from 14 to 26.

Two live doubt clinics also run each week, Monday and Friday nights, where the questions piling up in the shared thread are solved on the board for everyone.


Recordings, the fourteen-year question archive, mock papers and your doubt thread stay accessible until the final engineering admission test of the season. If you prefer solving on paper, a printed copy of the full problem bank can be couriered anywhere in Bangladesh for ৳450.

Convert between eV, angstrom and MeV under time pressure without arithmetic slips
Diagnose your own mock paper by separating concept errors, method errors and pure speed errors

Prerequisite

HSC Physics 1st and 2nd paper read through at least once — theory is not taught from zero here
Comfortable differentiating a product and integrating by substitution at HSC Higher Math level
Sitting an engineering admission test this season: BUET, KUET, CUET, RUET, MIST or CKRUET
Paper and pen for every session — all solving is done by hand, not typed
Eight to ten hours a week outside class for the problem bank and mocks
