Higher Mathematics is optional on paper. In practice it is the subject that decides whether a science-stream student walks into Class 11 comfortable or spends the first term catching up on algebra nobody has time to reteach.

This course takes every chapter of the NCTB Higher Mathematics textbook, from sets at the start of Class 9 to probability and statistics at the end of Class 10, and teaches them as one continuous course instead of two disconnected school years. Students join in Class 9 and finish before the SSC pre-test; Class 10 students join mid-way and are placed by a short diagnostic rather than by guesswork.

What is inside

The syllabus is covered in full. The blocks that take the most time are the ones that carry the most marks:

• Algebraic expressions, the remainder and factor theorems, and partial fractions

• Quadratic equations, the nature of roots, and their graphical meaning

• Circle theorems, where most students lose marks on the proof rather than the idea

• Geometric constructions, marked on accuracy and on the written justification

• Trigonometry, from radian measure through identities to heights and distances

• Exponential and logarithmic functions, and infinite geometric series

• Coordinate geometry and the straight line

• Solid geometry and mensuration, which is pure marks if you know the formulas and pure loss if you do not

• Probability, permutation, combination and statistics, including ogive and histogram work

The order follows the textbook rather than an invented sequence, so what you learn in class on Tuesday is what your school teacher covers that month, and the two reinforce instead of competing.

How a chapter is taught

Every chapter moves through the same five stages, and the chapter is not closed until the last one is done:

1. A theory class where the result is built up from what you already know, not stated.

2. A worked-example class using the textbook exercise itself, sum by sum.

3. A homework set of 15 to 25 sums, submitted as photographs of your own handwriting.

4. A doubt session covering only the sums the batch got wrong, which is usually four or five of them.

5. A 20-mark chapter test, marked by hand and returned with corrections written on your script.

Nothing here is clever. It is the ordinary sequence a good school teacher would use with a dozen students in a room, run properly at scale, with every submission actually tracked instead of assumed.

Board-question training

From the sixth chapter onward, half of every homework set is drawn from real SSC board papers. The creative-question format is practised as a format in its own right, because the paper gives you eleven creative questions and asks for seven, and choosing the right seven in the first four minutes is worth more than any single sum.

The last eight weeks before SSC are given over entirely to full papers. Six model tests under real timing, marked to board standard, with an examiner-style note on presentation: figures labelled, steps shown, final answer underlined, units written. Students routinely gain five to eight marks on presentation alone once someone shows them what a marked script looks like.

Who this is for

Students who can do mathematics but are slow, and students who are quick but careless, are both common here and are treated differently. The diagnostic in week one separates them and the homework sets differ accordingly, with the slow group getting more repetition on fewer sum types and the careless group getting shorter sets marked more harshly.

Students joining from Bangla-medium schools in Rajshahi, Sylhet and outside the divisional towns make up most of the batch. Classes are taught in Bangla with the mathematical terms in English, which is exactly how the board paper is written.

For parents

A short progress report goes out at the end of every month with attendance, homework submission rate and chapter test marks, plus one line from the instructor that is not a template. If three homework sets are missed in a row, you get an SMS the same week rather than a surprise at the end of term.

There is no separate charge for the tests, the recordings or the model test series. Anything the batch gets, everyone in the batch gets.

My daughter had given up on Higher Math after the half-yearly. Two things changed it: the doubt sessions, and being told exactly what she was losing marks for in her writing. She got A+ in SSC.

Class times and fees

The course opens on 1 February 2026. Live classes run Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm, chosen to sit after school and before evening study. Recordings are posted the same night and stay open until your SSC exam.

The fee is ৳3,000 for the complete course. That covers the Class 9 and Class 10 chapters together, every chapter test, the hand-marking, and the full model test series before SSC. Nothing is added separately later.

There is no seat limit and no waiting list, so a place is never something you have to compete for. Enrolment stays open past the start date, and a student joining part-way through is placed by the same diagnostic that placed everyone else, not dropped into whichever chapter the batch happens to be on.
